7th Asian Thermophysical Properties Conference, Huangshan, China, August 2003

The 7th Asian Thermophysical Properties Conference will be held in Huangshan City, Anhui, China, in August 2004. The conference is concerned with theoretical, experimental, simulation, database and applied aspects of the thermophysical properties of gases, liquids, solids, mixtures, biological systems, films, functional materials, gradient materials and nanophase materials. Appropriate topics are:

  • Thermophysical properties

  • Methods of measurement

  • Data correlation

  • Applied aspects

The first call for papers will be issued early in 2003.

Huangshan is a beautiful, friendly, city and is located at the foot of the famous Yellow Mountain. It is easily reached by air, rail or bus from Beijing, Shanghai or Hefei. Yellow was the Chinese Imperial colour and Yellow Mountain was the Chinese Imperial Mountain. (UNESCO listed it as "A World Cultural and National Heritage" in 1990.) Yellow Mountain has four major attractions: the fantastic pins, the grotesque rocks, the sea of clouds, and the hot springs.
